Active Greece

Greece is a playground!

If you are coming for a running event in Greece and looking for a post-race tour, or you want an active vacation in general, consider our multi-sport tour choices.

The Greek terrain is breathtaking and incredibly varied --- mountains, calm seas, high seas, gorges, rivers, caves, coves, islands, waterfalls. Greece's natural wonders impress our typical clients -- curious and eager outdoorsmen and women.

Our team offers excellent detailed service in organizing your visit to Greece, recommending special destinations and making sure you come home with fond memories. Let us know if you wish to be put in touch with prior clients for their testimonials. Contact us to start planning for your active Greece vacation now.

Cycling. Our sister company is CycleGreece, featuring tours devoted exclusively to cycling vacations. We offer guided, fully supported scheduled tours and self-guided tours with luggage transfers where you choose your own dates. The most popular cycling regions are the antiquities-rich Peloponnese, the beguiling Cyclades islands and charming Crete, Greece's largest island. Tour abilities range from advanced or challenging to moderate to easy. Several cycling tours including hiking as well. See sample guided tour Cycle Cyclades (PDF) and self-guided tour Peloponnese (PDF).

Sailing.  If astrology applies to countries, Greece surely is a water sign.  Its geography consists of over 15,000 kilometers of coastline and more than 1500 islands and islets.  You can stand anywhere on Greek terrain and be within 100 miles of the sea.   Naturally, this type of environment encourages sailing as a major activity.  We own and operate our own traditional sailing schoonera, a wooden motor yacht that gets your party around to the most secluded coves in the Aegean, as well as its most handsome harbors. See sample Saronic Sailing cruise (PDF)

Hiking. Paths trod by villagers since Byzantine days, known as "kalderimi," have become popular ecotourism footpaths and are in abundance on the Cyclades such as Andros and Tinos. In Santorini the hike along the caldera ridge at dusk has tremendous sunset views. Donkey trails are still used in many places like Lesvos. In Crete, along the southern coast of the Libyan Sea lies the European hiking route. Perhaps some of the best hiking lies in Zagoria north of Ioannina. There are many walking and hiking tour choices in Greece. See sample Kriti Coastline tour (PDF) which follows the Libyan sea coast in southern Crete.
